When you come and visit New Road, you will immediately see that our nursery is designed to be homely and comfortable while still providing all the play and learning opportunities that you could imagine. Our rooms, while small and intimate, are packed with equipment and resources to stimulate your child – we believe that our job as carers is to facilitate your child’s imagination and provide opportunities to explore rather than to direct their activity.
Children at New Road gain independence and confidence by exploring their environment and making their own decisions while under the watchful eyes of their carers.
Our approach.
We follow the early years curriculum, so you can be sure that children are achieving their educational targets as well as having fun and developing their social skills.
Our approach is child-led so that children follow their own interests which we then use as learning stimulation. We don’t believe in pre-planned activities – every day has its own exciting developments and our skill as carers is to turn those into learning opportunities.
We don’t believe that children should be forced to do anything they do not want to but rather should be encouraged and advised to understand what are the correct decisions to make in any given circumstances.
